Lisa Voorhees serves as Chief Executive Officer and has dedicated 26 years to the organization, helping lead a period of significant growth, innovation, and expanded access to healthcare services throughout the region. Her leadership has been instrumental in transforming the organization from a community hospital into a comprehensive healthcare system focused on meeting the evolving needs of patients and communities.
Throughout her tenure, Lisa has overseen numerous strategic initiatives and facility expansions, including the addition of the Syracuse Clinic to the original hospital campus, the acquisition of the Weeping Water Clinic (now North Campus), and the construction of a new hospital to enhance patient care and accommodate future growth.
Under her leadership, the organization continued to expand by relocating the Weeping Water (North Campus) Clinic and adding a retail pharmacy to increase convenience and access for patients. She also championed the MRI addition to the new hospital, bringing advanced diagnostic services closer to home for area residents.
Recognizing the growing demand for specialty and convenient care services, Lisa led the relocation of the orthopedic clinic and the launch of an urgent care clinic, establishing the Sagewell brand under Syracuse Area Health. This initiative marked a new era of expanded healthcare access and service offerings throughout the region.
Most recently, Lisa guided the acquisition of the Hickman Clinic, which now operates as Sagewell Family Medicine and Sagewell Aesthetics, further strengthening the organization's commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care.
