The ruralMED Health Cooperative was founded by four Nebraskan critical access hospitals in 2016 with the goal of working together to face the common challenge of maintaining the accessibility of health care services within their communities. Working together to develop creative partnerships will allow cost efficiencies, accessible services and support to help survive today’s evolving health care environment.
ruralMED Health Cooperative, LCA is health services organization committed to supporting Critical Access Hospitals of Nebraska in providing high quality, cost effective care, and increasing rural access to care through partnership and collaboration.
We envision a health network that supports and improves access to care in the rural communities of Nebraska. We understand that by leveraging our relationships and collaboration our collective achievements in rural health advocacy, support services development, and access to specialty care will far exceed our individual efforts. ruralMED Health Cooperative, LCA will embark on a quest for excellence in meeting the current and future health care needs of our members and affiliates in a manner that is financially sound, meets cultural and community expectations and provides service at the highest professional level. We aspire to create healthier communities by being the premier model for the delivery of quality rural health care through the planning, development and strengthening of community based health services. Our vision will be achieved by remaining consistent with our core values.
